It's 's character, Tick... in the rain. Kind of for her contest, but more for the discussions we've had about it.
I imagine that he's not happy that you chased him up those stairs. I'm sure that he would have much rather have preferred that you left him with his flowers.
A special dedication to those that think rain is to hard to draw.
I never thought about how rain might be hard. I typically have done more drop like styles in the past, but I'm not sure I've really done a lot of sketching where I included rain.
Digital painting, it's easy cause I have a brush on photoshop that does it.
OK lets get something straight here....Rain is not hard to draw its hard to paint.....But I like the drawing, perspective is off but not so much that it ruins the picture and I like the concept as a whole!!

Hehe... Well I won't argue with that. When color gets involved with anything it becomes a whole new thought process and steps up several degrees on the technical skill level. I didn't mean to insult anyone in reguards to this, but I don't think that a contest's rules should have had to change because of difficulty of content.
And yeah... that backgroud shouldn't angle up that much for how he's sitting on the steps. I've never been that good with perspective, so I keep messing things up like that. >_<
Thank you for pointing it out here though. I actually didn't notice until you said something. I'll have to keep that in mind for future drawings. I know that part of the problem is that i tend to draw the characters first without drawing the background in as well... sooo... that's definitely part of the problem.
weeeelll hopefully he'll be coming <3 we were going ot go to mertocon -- but i didn't like it and i need all the money i can get!! >> AFO is STILL my fav!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
